    The Numara Challenge

    Date: 24th November 2008

Numara Software challenged the VideoTile Production Team to produce a short video as part of their viral campaign, they had several pre-requisites they wished us to achieve.

The video had to appeal to professionals working within the IT Help Desk Sector. It had not only to make them laugh but it had to be totally different to anything they had witnessed before, so that they would share it with friends and colleagues. Numara Software, also, wanted their products strategically placed throughout.

No mean feat but we like a challenge.

VideoTile created a brand new hybrid for this project. A Stop Animation theme combined with Green Screen technologies was created (think Wallace and Gromit meets Chicken Run meets the weather forecasters and you are nearly there) producing a viral video that stays true to VideoTile’s own concepts.

Particular attention was paid to the often amusing problems that IT professionals encounter on a daily basis. No stone was left unturned in creating the storyboard for the video, with social and psychological profiles of our target audience being a key element in determining the finished article.

As the IT specialist’s day and life slowly unravels on screen, VideoTile feels that it has produced an item, scarily, close to real life for an IT professional but with the added twist of making those frustrating work problems funny enough for the IT professionals, with their tongue’s firmly in their cheeks, to sit back and say “Yes, I’ve been there, know exactly how he feels but boy I wish I had handled it that way.”

The video which was produced is a stunning 21st Century, state of the art piece that we are truly proud of and one that we feel will have those IT professionals, delighted with our insights into their working lives, happily sharing with their counterparts.
