    VideoTile Goes Karting

After several late night sessions pushing forward the boundaries of web video production, it was decided that the VideoTile team needed some rest and relaxation.

The venue was the Prestige Karting Centre in Colne; the time was Friday afternoon, the aim? Victory in the VideoTile Grand Prix!

Competition was fierce, with rivalries akin to those of Ferrari and Mclaren emerging between the Sales and Video Production teams.

The budding racers took the track in five separate heats, with the winners of each progressing to a final six-lap showdown on the challenging circuit.

For the first leg of the race, we were divided into two groups. The first to take to the track were Sinead Hines, Michael Goode, David Hines and Robert Church-Taylor - a mix of the sales and production teams.

In the other heat Stephen Ormerod, Andrew Hines, Paul Bancroft and Darren Singleton, raced for the chance to compete in the finals.

The first few races were a close run affair, with driving reminiscent of Senna or Schumacher, everyone in with a chance to claim the bottle of sparkling wine that awaited the winner.

The final was just the same, with everyone jostling for position over six gruelling laps.

After all the blood, sweat and tears, the winner crossed the line by a matter of seconds. As the chequered flag fell it was agreed by all that it had been a great exercise in team building, cementing the already strong foundations here at VideoTile.

The race was followed by a few choice ales in the local pub, with the talk revolving around the flamboyant driving style of some unexpected characters.

As the day drew to a close, the consensus was that Lewis Hamilton should watch out, he might be up against one of the VideoTile team soon!
