Food Safety Training

Our interactive online Food Safety Training provides an e-learning solution for training providers and health and safety companies. With presenter led training and interactive animations, our video online training offers training companies a bespoke solution for providing engaging e-learning training courses.

There are stringent rules and regulations regarding food safety with EU and UK laws governing these regulations. Businesses that handle food and their employees have a legal responsibility to manage food safety and ensure that they are compliant with all regulations. As part of these laws food handlers must ensure that food that is prepared, cooked, served or sold, is safe for human consumption.

The rules and regulations in place are designed to ensure that food does not become contaminated and is safe for human consumption. Failing to comply with the regulations could be disastrous and lead to fatal consequences.

Our online interactive Food Safety training will help to educate your employees about the dangers of poor food safety standards and how to control and prevent food safety risks. We offer a number of Food Safety training courses which can be licensed and branded for training companies and health and safety providers. We do not sell these courses directly to end users and only provide courses for training providers.

Courses

1) Level 1 Food Safety (Manufacturing, Catering & Retail)

Duration: 50 minutes (Note: this is based on the amount of video content shown and is rounded off. It does not account for loading time or thinking time on questions).

Our Level 1 Award in Food Safety is a great solution for new staff and can act as induction training into the basics of food safety. The course is suitable for employees with no prior food safety knowledge and for those handling low-risk or wrapped foods. The course does not cover food preparation so is generally suitable for waiting or check out staff as well as kitchen porter and back of house staff.

Split into four modules, our Level 1 Award provides an invaluable training resource for educating staff about the legislation and risk control of food safety. After each module there is a set of questions that needs to be answered with a passing mark of 75% before candidates can continue to the next module.

2) Level 2 Food Safety (Manufacturing, Catering & Retail)

Duration: 75 minutes (Note: this is based on the amount of video content shown and is rounded off. It does not account for loading time or thinking time on questions).

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety is designed to cover food safety for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail environment where food is prepared, cooked and handled. Examples of settings that this may be needed are: pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, food manufacturers, hospitals, schools and care homes.

Some of the topics covered on the course include: why food safety is important, the legislation, the prevention of contamination, control of contamination through safe storage and temperatures and how food becomes contaminated.

Following the completion of each module candidates will need to answer a set of questions to test their knowledge and learning and will need to achieve a pass mark of 75% in order to continue to the next course module.
