There are many of us out there who are a little clumsy and have probably dropped a phone or two in our time. Well, now you need not worry about whether you have broken your phone or not, well at least you don’t if you’ve got one of the latest devices from mobile phone manufacturers, Sonimtech.

Sonimtech have designed, and made the very first mobile phone handset that you can quite comfortably drop from 25 metres high, or the equivalent to 10 storeys, and it will still be fully functioning when it hits the bottom! Now that’s some phone!

This handset is probably the right handset for those of you who are quite clumsy or who find themselves working on a building site on a daily basis, and there’s also a video that was taken whilst they dropped the phone, just in case any of you out there were a little bit sceptical.

Videos like this can at times be excellent for promoting a business or a company and in this case, this video could be used as a promotional video for this particular company, especially as they are a smallish company and they have to compete against the big boys in the mobile phone market such as Apple, Blackberry and HTC.

With Gamescom being held this week as you may imagine there was a lot of fuss about some games, but not all games. There were a lot of games that were being looked at, at this year’s Gamescom and one of the big hitters this year is the latest instalment of EA’s FIFA game.

With the release date just over a month away some people are starting to go a bit FIFA crazy. There were some big announcements this year at Gamescom about some of the new features that we can expect to be on this year’s instalment of the game.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding FIFA 12 at this year’s Gamescoms and to be fair to EA Sports’ FIFA branch they have covered it fantastically well online. They have had updates straight from their Twitter feed to all of the followers that they have, who are eagerly awaiting any news that they can get.

The first big announcement was that the demo for the new game will be released on Xbox, PS3 and PC on the 13^th September. The demo will again have a select number of teams on it, and unlike last year’s demo version it will not have both Real Madrid and Barcelona on it. Just the Catalan giants, Barcelona. The rest of the teams are as follows: Two from the Premier League in the shape of Arsenal and Man City. One French side in the shape of Marseille. One German team in the shape of Borussia Dortmund and lat but not least, one Italian team in the shape of the current Italian champions, AC Milan.

There have been many a promotional video released in the build up to the official release date of the new FIFA game and there have also been one or two trailers released so that the fans have something to wet their appetite and build up people’s hopes and expectations in the wake of the release of the new game. One thing is for certain though it’s certainly going to be a hit!

We all love, and adore animals and times they do some rather stupid things that make us think “if only I had got that on video”… Well some people out there do catch their pets doing some stupid things and one of the more recent videos on YouTube that is currently trending is a video of someone’s pet cat trapping another moggie in a cardboard box and sitting on top of it and refusing to budge!

Well we say refusing to budge but he soon gets bored and after seeing the trapped cat pushing on the lid of the box. He eventually gets out and then shakes his head and wanders off himself, probably wondering what had just happened and thinking to himself “I won’t be going near one of them for a while!” and who could blame him really?

A young couple in China, according to local newspaper reports have sold all three of their young children so that they can play online games at an internet cafe.

Many of western couples would never dream of selling their children, let alone to play online games at an internet cafe. There are many couples that don’t really take an interest in playing online games and there are certainly not many couples who would want to sell their kids.

Could you imagine, they were a young family too and they sold their kids to get money. Then they just blew that money on playing online games at an internet cafe. They met in 2007, ironically at an internet cafe and they got on so well after realising that they both had a love for online video games.

They had their first child a year later, and at the time both of them were under-21 and they left him home alone just days after his birth to go and play yet more online games. In 2009, the young couple welcomed their second child and at the time they got the idea that they could sell their baby girl for money, yet more money that would fund their online gaming obsession. They got just short of $500 for their baby girl and as you may imagine absolutely all of that went on online video games.

After the couple got their first taste of selling their kids they then decided to sell their first child, who was quite a bit older than their baby girl and that got them a lot more money; it got them about $4,600. They had their third child and they also sold him for the same amount of money. Almost $10,000 was wasted on playing online games at an internet cafe.

There are many different online video games that you can play out there and some of the better ones have their own websites with their own web presenters. In the last few months there seems to have been a bit of a new found love for the Old Spice Guy who became loved with his adverts for the men’s grooming product adverts on both YouTube and on the TV.

People would put things up on Twitter and on Facebook about the adverts when they came on TV and rightly so, they were very good, very funny adverts. However these adverts are to be no more. Sometime this week there were videos that had been released on YouTube advertising the Old Spice product, however everyone’s favourite Old Spice guy seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet and has been replaced by some strange, Italian guy called Fabio.

He’s been in things like Keith Lemon’s World Tour and he has also had cameo roles in films such as Zoolander and Dude, Where’s My Car. So I think it’s safe to say that he certainly is no better than the previous Old Spice guy, Isaiah Mustafa

At the minute however there’s not been any official word from Old Spice as to whether they have replaced Isaiah with Fabio or if Fabio is, as it seems just advertising a new product that they are now selling. Either way we don’t want to see THE Old Spice guy get the boot from the ads as almost all of his videos on YouTube have got at least 1,000,000 views which speaks volumes about how much people love his work.

The video has turned out to be a massive hit on YouTube and many people have made different parodies of the short clip, none of which have caused the same kind of storm that the original has.

It has been up for over 5 years and it has clocked up well over 20 million views and has turned into a bit of an internet sensation. We all know that there’s the rumour that Jesus could walk on water and people saying that it was impossible for anyone to ever walk on water in real life. Well a new and upcoming magician that goes by the name of Dynamo has kind of proven that you can actually walk on water as he took a stroll along the River Thames outside the Houses of Parliament.

This was almost certainly something to blow the mind of Derren Brown and it was almost certainly enough to send David Blaine packing, all the way back to his Perspex box!

Thousands of people were there to see him make the big step from the shore out onto the River itself and albeit not so casually he strolled out into the middle of the river and hopped onto a boat and then off he sailed.

It obviously left many people wondering if it was a hoax and that there must have been some kind of aid for him, like maybe a bar under the water however when he was asked he refused to say anything about how he did it saying: “It’s a secret I will take with me to my grave”. If this is the case then he could have the secret to how humans can walk on water, although we highly doubt it.

Obviously if it hadn’t of been recorded and people didn’t go down to watch it then there would have been a lot of speculation surrounding his latest trick.

Of course if it had just been videoed then there would have been many people saying that it was all a fake as there are many a video production company out there that could have put something together that looks like you’re walking on water. It could have been a promotional video for a new company that were trying to promote themselves. Either way it was pretty damn spectacular what he did!

There’s some out there that have got more nuts than others, and this squirrel is certainly one that has got more nuts than a lot of others! People and squirrels alike!

There’s one squirrel out there that is either short on nuts or has more nuts than any other squirrel about but I know plenty of animals and people alike that wouldn’t want to mess with a Lamborghini that was travelling in excess of 100mph!

Well this daredevil, or should we say dare-squirrel luckily timed his game of chicken with the supercar to perfection, managing to get underneath the car and between its 4 wheels in time as it passed overhead and the little critter miraculously came out the other side unharmed and scampered off on to the safety of the grass. Nuts or not, he won’t be doing that again in a hurry!

Some onlookers said that he lost the end of his tail whilst he was underneath the car but that is a small price to pay when you compare what the other outcome might have been for him!

The video hasn’t been up long and is well on its way to clocking up 2,000,000 views. Two million views isn’t bad for a 24 second long video clip. There are many videos about on the net that are very similar to this one and some that are not very similar at all. The boys down at EA have introduced a lot of new features to the game; one of the most significant ones is the all new “Impact Engine” that has been introduced to the game. There are many other features that have been added to the game like “True Injuries”. Thanks to the new impact engine there will be more realistic injuries in the game. So if you’re playing in career mode and a player comes back from injury and pushed himself too hard he could re-injure himself, or if one of your players is tired he could pull his groin or hamstring.

These two new features plus many, many more that are set to be introduced to the game means that this year’s instalment is set to be a best seller! In the last month or so we have seen quite a few different promotional videos for the new FIFA game in a bid to promote the game by EA.
