We all know who Freddie Mercury is and we all know that he’s long been dead but apparently his voice has found its way to someone in Canada who is the lead singer of a Christian rock band. The person in question is called Marc Martel. He’s from Saskatchewan in Canada and the band he sings for are called Downhere.

He recorded his cover of Queen’s ‘Somebody to Love’ for The Queen Extravaganza which is something that searches for musicians and vocalists to tour with a Queen Tribute band. This guy, Marc Martel is looking like a good bet to be selected to sing with the tribute, but to be honest, he’s that good he should be chosen to sing with the band should they ever reform.

He’s recorded his audition and put it up on YouTube and within 4 days it had over 1.5 million views. This just goes to show how good a voice this guy has got, the video has almost turned into a kind of promotional video for The Queen Extravaganza.  There’s no doubt going to be lots of videos that people have recorded of themselves for this event but they can’t all be good. Maybe they should look at getting hold of a video production company and have a montage of all the funny, good and also bad videos that they have been sent.

There are many people out there who record themselves doing stupid things, or maybe they are wanting to have a rant at or about someone or something or there are some that are just plain cool. Either way there’s an array of videos out there that have done really well for themselves and have shot the person who uploaded them, or starred in them, to fame.

You could be one of these people if you decide to make your own home video. Someone who did this is a young boy in America known on his YouTube account as CopperCab. For those of you who don’t know and haven’t seen his hilarious video, he is the guy who uploaded the “GINGERS DO HAVE SOULS” video.

In this video he has a rant about how people at his school ridicule him for being ginger and saying that he has no soul, to which he obviously disagrees. It was uploaded in 2010 and in nearly a year it has amassed over 21million views.

There are some things that you put on the internet and they just blow up, go massive. Just like this has, not only has it got millions of views in the space of 12 months but it has also had a remake from the creators of South Park. They made Cartman ginger and he says the same as the young lad in the video. You couldn’t ask for better publicity than South Park including part of your video in one of their episodes.

You could become this person, if you upload the right kind of video, you may not need to treat it as a promotional video. It may just kick on and become really popular. However if you haven’t got a home video that you think will cut it then you should look at getting in touch with a video production company and see what they can do for you and your video!

There are some Viral Videos out there that are slightly different in comparison to your “average” viral video. Or it may not even be intended as a viral video but it may have been picked up by some medias and they may like the video and then promote it themselves. Or they may even find it relevant to what they do and then promote the video to help them promote their product.

A viral video that has surfaced and is almost certainly not what you would expect to see in the work place. A boss lets his employees shoot at him with an AK-47 while he is sat behind a bullet proof glass window. There are many different kinds of virals that are out there and are being used to promote different people’s products or companies. For example there’s a video of a number of youngsters on a massive water slide that was built on private property in Paradise, Utah and they go flying down the slide on their rubber rings and go flying up 120ft in the air to land in the lake, however if you were thinking of trying this at home just bear in mind that three of the people were knocked unconscious upon impact with the water. The water was initially intended to try and promote Vooray clothing; however they didn’t really do a good job of promoting the clothing line as they were all wearing next to nothing.

Videos like this can at times be excellent for promoting a business or a company and in this case, this video could be used as a promotional video for this particular company, especially as they are a smallish company and they have to compete against the big boys in the mobile phone market such as Apple, Blackberry and HTC.

With Gamescom being held this week as you may imagine there was a lot of fuss about some games, but not all games. There were a lot of games that were being looked at, at this year’s Gamescom and one of the big hitters this year is the latest instalment of EA’s FIFA game.

With the release date just over a month away some people are starting to go a bit FIFA crazy. There were some big announcements this year at Gamescom about some of the new features that we can expect to be on this year’s instalment of the game.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding FIFA 12 at this year’s Gamescoms and to be fair to EA Sports’ FIFA branch they have covered it fantastically well online. They have had updates straight from their Twitter feed to all of the followers that they have, who are eagerly awaiting any news that they can get.

The first big announcement was that the demo for the new game will be released on Xbox, PS3 and PC on the 13^th September. The demo will again have a select number of teams on it, and unlike last year’s demo version it will not have both Real Madrid and Barcelona on it. Just the Catalan giants, Barcelona. The rest of the teams are as follows: Two from the Premier League in the shape of Arsenal and Man City. One French side in the shape of Marseille. One German team in the shape of Borussia Dortmund and lat but not least, one Italian team in the shape of the current Italian champions, AC Milan.

There have been many a promotional video released in the build up to the official release date of the new FIFA game and there have also been one or two trailers released so that the fans have something to wet their appetite and build up people’s hopes and expectations in the wake of the release of the new game. One thing is for certain though it’s certainly going to be a hit!

We all love, and adore animals and times they do some rather stupid things that make us think “if only I had got that on video”… Well some people out there do catch their pets doing some stupid things and one of the more recent videos on YouTube that is currently trending is a video of someone’s pet cat trapping another moggie in a cardboard box and sitting on top of it and refusing to budge!

Well we say refusing to budge but he soon gets bored and after seeing the trapped cat pushing on the lid of the box. He eventually gets out and then shakes his head and wanders off himself, probably wondering what had just happened and thinking to himself “I won’t be going near one of them for a while!” and who could blame him really?

A viral video  could be a good way of promoting a product or a service that you or your business provide and if perhaps you’re struggling for business, if you come up with a good idea for a video to advertise your particular product or service then you could be quids in!
